Do you have experience raising a child who has received social health services? Join the team and provide coaching to other caregivers receiving services through Seneca's Wraparound program!

As the Bilingual Family Partner you will use your personal experience as a consumer of mental health or social health services to build rapport and trust with caregivers, and advocating for their needs, when necessary. The Bilingual Family Partner is knowledgeable about resources, services, and supports for caregivers as you act as a mediator or facilitator between families and agencies.

ABOUT WRAPAROUND

Seneca's Wraparound programs offer family-centered, individualized, culturally relevant, and strength-based support to families with complex and enduring needs. Wraparound works in close partnership with Department of Family and Children Services, Juvenile Probation, Behavioral Health, and group homes, providing strengths-based and outcome-oriented alternatives to group care placements for children and youth by drawing upon community and family strengths. Services are provided in the community: in families` homes, group homes, foster homes, schools, etc. for youth who are at-risk of being placed in out of home care or are stepping down from a higher level of care.

Responsibilities

  • Actively supports family members to participate in the wraparound process as informed and empowered members of the Wraparound team
  • Use knowledge of community resources, school systems, mental health services, and/or social services to help families identify a network of support
  • Help caregivers and families navigate private and/or public systems while promoting understanding among team members as a collaborative advocate
  • Participate in the regional after hours emergency response rotation
  • Delivers services that are mindful of clients and their families' cultural location and provides support that is culturally informed and relevant
  • Models and utilizes a strengths-based approach in all interactions with family
  • Participates in weekly supervision with Supervisor and Wraparound team meetings
  • Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have personal experience raising a child who has received services (Child Welfare, Probation, Mental Health)
  • High School diploma/GED or higher
  • Bilingual in Spanish skill set
  • Own vehicle, valid California driver's license, and insurability with Seneca's automobile policy
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints and any other mandatory state/federal requirements
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Preferred:

  • Ability to work as a team player and with a diverse population
  • Good writing and organizational skills

Schedule

  • Full-time
    • Mon-Fri; 9am-5:30pm
    • Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evenings hours as needed
