Position: Operations Manager, 40 hours a week with benefits located in Napa, CA 

Summary: An operations manager for a financial advisor's office overseeing daily operations, technology, and client service platforms to improve efficiency and support advisors. Key responsibilities include managing client onboarding, implementing technology, streamlining workflows, handling financial and operational processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive operational success. 

Core responsibilities

  • Technology and workflow: Oversee and integrate firm technology, manage client service platforms, and find ways to use technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Client experience: Manage the client onboarding process and ensure smooth back-office operations to support client services.
  • Financial and administrative: Implement and create policies and procedures for transaction processing, manage financial and accounting operations, and oversee budgeting and forecasting.
  • Team and training: Manage operational staff, train new hires, monitor performance, and provide coaching.
  • Compliance and risk: Ensure operations are compliant with regulations and risk management policies. 

Essential skills

  • Leadership and management: Ability to lead teams, manage workflow, and drive change.
  • Analytical and problem-solving: Strong skills in analyzing data and processes to identify and solve problems.
  • Technical proficiency: Familiarity with financial software, systems, and data analysis tools is crucial.
  • Financial knowledge: Understanding of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting is essential.
  • Communication: Strong communication to effectively work with advisors, clients, and other departments.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to look for opportunities to create efficiencies and align financial strategy with business objectives. 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor`s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is often preferred, or equivalent experience. 
  • Previous experience in an administrative support or customer-facing role within the financial services industry is preferred.
