CalMatters/The Markup is seeking an experienced transcription specialist to support the Digital Democracy project, using AI-assisted tools to process legislative video and data for our team of transcribers. Remote with occasional travel to Sacramento and San Luis Obispo; preference for California residence.

You will review hearings to pinpoint bill discussions, clean text for the transcription pipeline, and contribute to end-to-end transcription of legislative proceedings.
