We are seeking a Research Assistant who will oversee data collection, data organization, and/or data management or similar functions/tasks for research study(ies) in support of a PI or a research team.
Housing mobility programs are designed to help families move from high poverty neighborhoods into lower poverty, better resourced ones. The MOVED (Mobility Opportunity Vouchers to Eliminate Diabetes and Obesity) Study is designed to test whether helping families move changes adult and child health. The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health's Department of Health Policy & Management is seeking a Research Assistant based in Nashville who will assist with tasks on the MOVED Study.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
In addition to the duties described above, the Research Assistant will be responsible for independently scheduling appointments and making reminder/confirmation calls. At the time of the appointment, the Research Assistant will complete phone and in-person survey interviews with one adult and one child in the family home. In addition, the data collection will include taking measures of participants' height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, and a finger stick for diabetes, at the participants' home.
