Description:

Our client, a leader in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, is seeking a Screening Lab Assistant to join their team. As a Screening Assistant, you will be part of the Laboratory Support Department supporting specimen processing and testing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Screening Lab Assistant

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Pay Range: $18.21/hr

Shift: Monday & Tuesday, 12:00PM - 6:00PM

What's the Job?

  • Assist licensed testing personnel in performing screening tests according to laboratory policies and procedures.

  • Scan bottles and verify data previously entered into the database from requisition forms.

  • Prepare aliquots of urine specimens for testing in a production laboratory environment.

  • Confirm labeling to determine further testing or storage requirements.

  • Receive, sort, and organize specimens efficiently and accurately.

What's Needed?

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (HSD or GED).

  • The ability to work safely with biological specimens.

  • Experience using a computer and barcode scanner is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is advantageous.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
