Job DescriptionThe Assistant Store Manager works with the store manager to organize, plan, and implement strategies in a Sherwin-Williams paint store. This includes supporting all aspects of store operations: customer service, marketing, merchandising, inventory, finances, and store safety. The role assists in supervising and training staff, contacts customers to generate sales leads, and must work an average of 44 hours per week which may include evenings and/or weekends. The position may also earn a performance‑based bonus.ResponsibilitiesSupport business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitabilityEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent serviceBuild and maintain knowledge of all products to make effective customer recommendationsBuild positive relationships with wholesale and retail customersComplete store administrationEnsure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and securityMaintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional packages and sales floor displaysSupport employee training, development, performance management, and corrective actionRespond to and resolve any customer and/or employee complaintsPartner with the Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market shareMinimum RequirementsMust be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing future sponsorshipMust have a valid, unrestricted Driver's LicenseMust have at least a High School diploma or GEDMust be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasionPreferred QualificationsAt least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service, or completion of a Sherwin‑Williams Management Training ProgramAt least one (1) year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teamsPrevious work experience selling paint and paint‑related productsExperience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systemsAssociate's degree or higher in business, sales, or marketingWillingness to relocate for future job opportunitiesAbility to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, including SpanishSherwin‑Williams is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding discrimination and fair hiring practices.#J-18808-Ljbffr
