Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Histology Technologist for a travel job in Santa Rosa, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Histology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Histologist in Santa Rosa, California. This position involves performing histology procedures including grossing, embedding, microtomy, and staining, with a focus on routine hospital anatomical pathology specimens. The role requires expertise in automated immunohistochemistry (IHC), special stains, and cytology skills such as Thin Prep, cell block, and cytospin preparations. Job Details: Shift Hours: 8 hours Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours Required Qualifications: 2 years of histology experience with hospital experience and grossing expertise; CA state license preferred; pending license accepted; ASCP-HT certification; associate's degree in science; must have clean background with references from the past 3 years covering at least 1 year; valid CA license in hand; local candidate within a 50-mile radius. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, cytology procedures such as Thin Prep, cell block, and cytospin. Additional Information: Schedule requires working Saturday to Thursday, with an availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Candidate must be willing to float within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals. Time spent on required modules averages 16 hours, with completion recorded in Workramp. References: Two references covering 1 year, or 6 months for CNAs, within the last 3 years. Submit SSN, DOB, and RTO at the time of submission. This is an acute care facility, with interdisciplinary support including radiology and phlebotomy. The start date is 08/10/2026.
