Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Sterile Processing Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, evenings Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Sterile Processing Technician – Santa Rosa, CA 95405 Start Date: August 10, 2026 Location: Santa Rosa, California Schedule: Mid shift, 5x8-hour shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM), Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. On-call and weekend coverage required (2 weekends every 6-week schedule). Daily census of 20-30 cases across 15 rooms. Highlights: Work in a 277-bed acute care hospital with a comprehensive surgical services department Gain experience precepting and mentoring new hires while working independently in an ASC environment Utilize Epic charting system and advanced sterilization equipment including Steris V-Pro low temp sterilization Comprehensive flexible endoscope reprocessing experience with bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, EGD scopes, ERCP scopes, and ultrasound scopes Work with diverse surgical specialties including robotics (Da Vinci Xi), orthopedics, cardiac, neuro, and trauma services 91-day assignment with potential for intercampus floating opportunities Requirements: Valid California license in hand (pending licenses not accepted) Minimum 4 years of sterile processing experience required Certifications: BLS, CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA, CFER required Seasoned travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted Trauma Level I experience required; community hospital experience preferred Extensive experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing (hardstop requirement) Preceptor experience required; must be comfortable training and working with new hires Proficiency with all vendor trays, robotic equipment cleaning, Steris mechanical washers, and ultrasonic equipment Experience with high-level disinfection, automated endoscope reprocessors (AER), and steam sterilization testing/monitoring Epic charting system experience preferred Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required Ability to float between sister facilities as needed Why Join Us?
