Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Histology Technologist for a travel job in Santa Rosa, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Histology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Histologist position located in Santa Rosa, California. This role involves working in an acute care facility with responsibilities including histology procedures such as grossing, embedding, microtomy, stainingincluding automated immunohistochemistryand manual special stains. The position requires adherence to hospital protocols and may involve floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities. The shift is scheduled for night hours, starting on 08/10/2026, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026. Required Qualifications: 2 years of histology experience, hospital experience, California state license (preferred, pending license accepted), and experience with Epic charting system. Certification as ASCP-HT or equivalent is required. Additional Qualifications: Experience with additive fixatives, microtomy, embedding, staining (including immunohistochemistry), and cytology techniques such as Thin Prep, cell block, and cytospin preparations. Willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Must be able to provide references covering 1-year period, including charge RNs or lead travelers. Float: Float rotation may be required within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Refusal to float may impact employment status. Special Procedures and Equipment: Routine hospital anatomical pathology specimens, special stains, and manual and automated IHC.
