Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Dialysis Manager, Biomed Dialysis Technician is responsible for inspecting, calibrating, testing, and repairing medical equipment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on dialysis machine and portable reverse machine
- Perform water cultures and dialysate culture
- Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and performance assurance
- Inspections on equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions
- Test and calibrate components using a variety of manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and code requirements
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies
- Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and accurate
- Repair and replace complex biomedical equipment and systems
- Install and adjust a variety of biomedical and research equipment
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions with accuracy and precision

Position Qualifications
- Associate degree in biomedical engineering or technology preferred
- 3-5 years' relevant experience working with biomedical equipment
- CBET certification required
- Skilled proficiency in the use of tools and test equipment
- Ability to interpret technical data like electronic circuit diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Ability to solve technical and performance problems using information from a variety of sources
- Working knowledge of technical requirements, codes, and standards associated with the field
- Advanced computer skills
- Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
