FITT Scientific is seeking instructors with experience in Information Systems Technician operations to work at Petaluma, CA to provide instructional services to meet the Coast Guard's unique needs in training students attending "A" and "C" schools at the Training Center.
Instructors shall provide expert skills and knowledge to deliver instruction to their students, focusing on ensuring students achieve the necessary skills mandated by course curricula and successfully meeting course objectives. Instructors may be required to evaluate students' performance by verifying their understanding of the course material, competency of learned skills, and their ability to demonstrate applied knowledge. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provide recommendations and solutions in the area of performance-based computer training and shall manage and maintain classroom computer systems and perform all necessary troubleshooting, hardware/software upgrades, routine backups, and equipment replacement to support each class.
Education/Experience (Required): High School diploma or equivalent. Must possess two (2) Years' of verifiable experience as a primary classroom instructor. Examples of instructor experience include, but are not limited to: public/ private school teacher, college instructor, military instructor. As applicable, proof of credentialing or successful completion of an instructor. certification course may be required. Certification in either CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ Must possess subject matter expertise in the following areas: data network software and hardware, client/server environments, Microsoft products, CompTIA A+ or Network+, Helpdesk management, use of test equipment in the maintenance and repair of computer and related equipment, troubleshoot and follow system administration/network maintenance procedures, electrical safety, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Physical Demands: Stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time while delivering training. Be able to maneuver in and out of strategic and tactical equipment, and capable of lifting and moving electronic equipment in excess of 40lbs in and out of classrooms and labs.
