Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Santa Rosa, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The facility is seeking a Traveling Sterile Processing Technician in Santa Rosa, California. This position involves working in an acute care hospital setting with responsibilities that include sterilization, endoscope reprocessing, and equipment documentation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. Job Details: Shift: Night shift with rotating weekends, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Schedule: 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Four (4) years of experience in sterile processing or related field; valid California license; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician (CBSPD), International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (IAHCSMM/HSPA), and Certified Fire and Emergency Response Technician (CFET). Experience with Epic charting system is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital or trauma level I facilities; experience with sterile processing microsystem (SPM), sterilization wrapping procedures, and specific surgical scopes such as endoscopes, bronchoscopes, and EGD scopes. Additional Information: Candidates must be seasoned travelers comfortable working independently in sterile processing and endoscope reprocessing, with experience in handling complex equipment and adhering to safety and sterilization standards. Compliance with RTO (Return to Origin) restrictions is mandatory; RTO must be included at the time of submission. Willingness to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) is required. Candidates must provide two recent references covering at least one year of employment during the last three years.
