This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional who enjoys both technical accounting and process improvement, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.This role offers strong exposure to leadership, cross‑functional teams, and key financial operations, with an emphasis on job cost accounting, Work in Progress (WIP), and financial process optimization .Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial operations, owning critical accounting functions, and contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives. This individual will be heavily involved in monthly close, WIP reporting, and financial analysis, while partnering across departments to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and forecastingAnalyze job budgets, costs, revenues, billings, and backlogSupport month‑end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and job cost allocationsManage and track fixed assetsAssist with annual audit preparation and respond to audit requestsPerform analytical reviews related to billing and financial performanceCollaborate cross‑functionally to support operational and financial initiativesIdentify and implement process improvements and automation opportunitiesSupport special projects and ad hoc reporting as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience (construction industry experience strongly preferred)Experience with job cost accounting and WIP schedulesStrong understanding of GAAPCPA or public accounting experience is a plusFamiliarity with construction accounting systems (e.g., Spectrum, Viewpoint, Sage) preferredAdvanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)Key Skills & AttributesStrong analytical and problem‑solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsSelf‑motivated with a continuous improvement mindsetWhy This Role?Opportunity to make a direct impact on financial processes and systemsCollaborative, team‑oriented environmentExposure to leadership and cross‑functional initiativesStrong stability within a well‑established industry#J-18808-Ljbffr
