Position Description The Cardiology team is seeking a Cardiology PA to work with the care team. This opportunity will play a central role in coordinating safe and appropriate transitions of care for patients .
Location / Work Hours
Position is based on site at the Adventist Health Heart and Vascular Institute at in St. Helena, California.
Position Qualifications
APP is responsible and accountable for safe clinical practice; must be knowledgeable of cardiac, vascular, and cardiothoracic patients, medications, standard treatments.
* Maintain knowledge of current cardiac medications and procedures.
Minimum of three years of recent PA clinical experience in acute patient care, ICU or ER.
Outstanding communication and telephone skills
Ability to communicate via telephone with patients and provide good customer service
Demonstrates professional oral and written communication
Makes decisions that adhere to policy and use critical thinking skills
Possesses ability to effectively manage time
Job Responsibilities
Provider Support
Inpatient consults, rounding, transfer acceptance, cardiac stress test supervision
Complete patient-required forms including return to work letters, employment forms, and disability forms.
