Plant Type: GE 7FA Power Generation Facility

Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance activities for a GE 7FA combined cycle power

plant, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of plant equipment and systems. This role oversees

mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & controls (I&C;), and predictive/preventive maintenance programs while

driving operational excellence, outage execution, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The Maintenance Manager provides leadership for maintenance personnel, contractors, outage teams, and

planning/scheduling functions while maintaining a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous

improvement. Experience with GE Frame 7FA combustion turbines, HRSG systems, steam turbines, balance-of-plant

systems, and NERC/compliance-driven operations is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Lead all maintenance operations for the GE 7FA combined cycle facility, including combustion turbines, steam
  • turbine/generator, HRSGs, electrical systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
  • • Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize plant availability and
  • reliability.
  • • Manage major maintenance events, planned outages, inspections, and forced outage recovery activities.
  • • Oversee vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.
  • • Direct planning and execution of combustion turbine inspections, hot gas path inspections, and major overhauls.
  • • Coordinate outage schedules, staffing, contractor support, tooling, materials, and budgets.
  • • Supervise maintenance supervisors, technicians, planners, and contractors.
  • • Promote a strong safety culture focused on human performance, procedural compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, environmental, plant safety, and company policies.
  • • Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets and long-term maintenance forecasts.
  • • Manage procurement activities, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
  • • Lead maintenance planning and scheduling processes using CMMS platforms such as Maximo, SAP, or Infor.
  • Required Qualifications
  • • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • preferred.
  • • Minimum 7–10 years of power plant maintenance experience with increasing supervisory responsibility.
  • • Direct experience with GE Frame 7FA gas turbines strongly preferred.
  • • Experience in combined cycle power generation operations and maintenance required.
  • • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & controls, and rotating equipment systems.
  • • Proven experience leading major outages and maintenance teams.
  • • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and reliability engineering practices.
  • • Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP, Maximo, or Infor.
  • • Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, and organizational skills.

  • • Combined cycle merchant plant operations.
  • • NERC/FERC regulated environment.
  • • Long-term service agreements (LTSA) coordination.
  • • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
  • • Lean maintenance or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • • Experience managing union and non-union workforces.

  • Physical Requirements
  • • Ability to work in industrial power plant environments including climbing stairs/ladders and walking extended
