About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Chef of Events & Experiences to lead all culinary execution for on-site and off-site events within a luxury, Michelin-level hospitality environment. This position will oversee menu development, event production, culinary leadership, operational execution, and team development while ensuring every guest experience reflects the highest standards of quality, creativity, and service.

Key Responsibilities

Culinary Leadership & Menu Development

• Lead culinary execution for all private events, special experiences, and off-site functions
• Collaborate on event menu development, seasonal offerings, and culinary innovation
• Partner with culinary and events leadership teams to ensure alignment between food, service, and guest experience
• Assist with sourcing and ordering from farms, vendors, and purveyors

Event Operations & Execution

• Execute high-level event production with consistency, creativity, and precision
• Coordinate purchasing, prep schedules, staffing, plating, and service timing for all events
• Ensure all dishes meet recipe, presentation, and quality standards
• Expedite service and maintain seamless communication between kitchen and service teams
• Support flawless execution across multiple simultaneous events and experiences

Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise, coach, and mentor the events culinary team
• Maintain clear communication around expectations, standards, and procedures
• Support ongoing education and development in culinary technique, hospitality, wine, and agriculture
• Partner with leadership and HR on training, evaluations, and team development initiatives

Labor & Operational Management

• Create labor schedules based on event volume and operational needs
• Manage labor efficiency while maintaining service excellence
• Assist with payroll review and workforce planning
• Support accountability and performance management initiatives

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of all event kitchen spaces
• Uphold best practices for storage, labeling, allergen awareness, and food handling
• Proactively identify and resolve operational or safety concerns

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to operational improvements and elevated guest experiences
• Participate in management meetings and cross-functional collaboration
• Maintain a hands-on presence in kitchen operations and event execution

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Michelin-starred and/or luxury fine dining environments
• Minimum 2+ years of culinary management or leadership experience
• Strong background in high-level event execution and multi-course culinary experiences
• Proven leadership ability in fast-paced, detail-oriented hospitality environments
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing multiple priorities under pressure
• Proficiency with kitchen systems, scheduling, and operational tools
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
