Senior HR Business Partner (Los Angeles or San Francisco – Hybrid)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a leading global professional services organization and assisting them search for a Senior HR Business Partner to support key business units and regions. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, aligning people initiatives with business objectives while driving high-quality HR programs across the organization.

This role can be based in Los Angeles or San Francisco and follows a hybrid schedule.

Compensation

$180,000 – $247,000 base salary + bonus eligibility (dependent on experience and education)

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to understand business strategy and deliver aligned HR solutions
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, talent strategy, and workforce planning
  • Lead and support performance management processes across assigned business areas
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Develop and execute talent development and succession planning initiatives
  • Analyze HR data and trends to inform programs, policies, and business decisions
  • Drive change management and communication strategies for key initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies; partner with legal as needed
  • Collaborate across the HR function to establish best practices for hiring, promotions, and internal mobility
  • Improve employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational effectiveness
  • Help build scalable HR processes and frameworks
  • Occasional travel

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interpret and apply employment laws, policies, and regulations
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong project management experience across initiatives of varying complexity
  • Experience handling sensitive and complex employee relations matters

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field
  • 9+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience across multiple HR disciplines, including:
  • Employee relations
  • Performance management
  • Compensation practices
  • Organizational design / diagnosis
  • Employment law

Preferred

  • Experience in professional services, legal, or consulting environments
  • Advanced HR degree
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR)
