Description:

Our client, a growing venture firm, is hiring a Chief of Staff to partner closely with firm leadership and operate as a central force across strategy, operations, and execution. This is a high-impact, dynamic role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and wants to help build an investment firm from the ground up.

You will work across a wide range of initiatives from investment process design and firm strategy to brand building, capital markets work, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operations

  • Design and improve internal processes across the investment lifecycle
  • Organize and support weekly investment meetings and firm workflows
  • Build systems and tools (CRM, Notion, internal tracking) to enhance execution
  • Support firm-level strategy and planning initiatives

Marketing & Brand

  • Manage and coordinate external partners (PR, events, fractional marketing)
  • Help develop and execute the firm's brand and communications strategy
  • Plan and run events, founder dinners, and ecosystem engagement initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships across a targeted network of founders, investors, and operators

Capital Markets & Secondaries

  • Support secondary transaction opportunities
  • Coordinate with bankers, brokers, and legal teams on deal execution
  • Assist with investor communications and capital markets initiatives
  • Gain exposure to fundraising strategy and LP engagement

Firm Building & Special Projects

  • Lead or support key internal initiatives (e.g., office buildout, vendor selection, budgeting)
  • Help recruit and onboard new team members
  • Build and manage an external advisor network
  • Special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of professional experience
  • Background in management consulting, strategy/operations, or chief of staff roles
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a structured, systems-oriented approach to complex problems
  • Structured, high EQ, thinker with strong problem-solving ability
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves; no task is too big or too small
  • Clear communication style; able to engage directly with demanding stakeholders
  • Comfortable with operating in ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Interest in AI, frontier technologies, or venture capital
