Photodiode Design EngineerOverviewWe are seeking a High-Speed Photodiode Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of next-generation optoelectronic devices. This role involves close collaboration with fabrication partners and cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept through volume manufacturing.A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including healthcare, retirement plans, and potential work authorization support.Key Responsibilities* Design and optimize photodiode epitaxial structures for high-performance optoelectronic applications* Develop mask layouts for device fabrication and integration* Analyze device characterization data and correlate performance trends with design parameters* Collaborate with epitaxy, process integration, packaging, and test teams across the full product development lifecycle* Lead or support failure analysis to identify root causes of electrical, optical, or reliability issues* Support wafer-level characterization, reliability studies, and process optimization efforts* Work cross-functionally to improve manufacturability and production yield* Occasional travel to support collaboration with partners and manufacturing sitesQualifications* Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related* 5+ years of industry experience in optoelectronic or semiconductor device development preferred* Hands-on experience in photodiode design and development required* Strong understanding of device physics, modeling, and performance trade-offs* Experience with epitaxial processes, wafer fabrication, packaging, testing, and reliability/failure analysis* Demonstrated ability to support designs through development into scalable manufacturing* Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams* Self-driven, detail-oriented, and dependable in a fast-paced technical environment
