Cattlemens Steakhouse is looking for a Kitchen Supervisor to develop to a Kitchen Manager. The Kitchen Supervisor will be accountable for supervising the cook's line and ensuring food quality meet recipe and guest standards. This position works as a member of the management team to the company's operational standards, provides solid leadership, embraces the Cattlemens Code and maintains a sanitary, safe, and spotlessly clean restaurant. Ability to multi-task while managing day-to-day operations of the restaurant while assisting the Kitchen Manager with: inventory, people, hiring, training and development, P&L management.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Provides direction and coaching for all back of the house team members including food preparation, production and safety and sanitation.
• Assists KM with all back of the house performance appraisals.
• Assists KM with writing the bi-weekly schedule.
• Coordinates training and ongoing development of back of the house team members.
• Assists KM with orders of all food and supplies for the restaurant, especially during vacations.
• Ensures proper staffing levels by recruiting, interviewing and hiring talented team members.
• Communicates with the rest of the management team.
• Act as support system when the Kitchen Manager is on vacation.
• Maintain spotlessly clean and safe restaurant at all times.
• Ensure highest quality levels of products and western hospitality.
Skills & Requirements
Education/Training:
• High School Degree or Equivalent required.
• College or Culinary Management degree preferred but not required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Experience in a high volume restaurant grilling steaks
• Desire to lead, coach and mentor.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent communication
• Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to change.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, desired.
• Excellent organizational skills and detailed oriented.
• A passion for food, and consistently delivering a great guest experience.
• 1-2 years restaurant management experience as a Manager, Kitchen Manager or Lead role, desired.
• Bi-lingual, desired
