Role Overview:
Insight Global is supporting a client in identifying an Account Manager within the Fire & Life Safety industry to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue through the sale of complex emergency response and fire equipment, along with the long-term account management. The territory will be the Bay Area. This role is technically hybrid, as it is an outside sales position requiring consistent presence within the assigned territory, along with periodic out-of-state travel a few times per quarter.
The Account Manager will maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge, as accuracy and attention to detail are critical in this space. This is a longer sales cycle environment with lower deal volume and high-touch client engagement. Success in this role requires comfort navigating complex buying processes, building trusted relationships, and representing highly specialized equipment where there is little margin for error.
The position includes a company credit card, mileage reimbursement at the federal rate, and full-time benefits including healthcare, 401(k) with match, and paid time off. On-target earnings are expected to be $120-150k in the first year, supported by a lower base salary and access to an existing pipeline with commissions already in place.
