Operations Associate/Office & Customer Facing Operations

CED Napa is a growing electrical distribution company moving toward a market-leader position in the Napa area. We are a small, fast-moving team where individual performance is visible, contributions matter, and strong performers are rewarded. This is a customer-facing operations role, not a back-office-only position. The Operations Associate supports front-office activity, financial processes, and daily operations in a fast-paced environment that requires accuracy, adaptability, and collaboration. This role is designed for someone who already has relevant experience, wants to learn the business deeply, and is interested in growing into greater responsibility over time.

The Operations Associate supports daily office and operational functions, including receptionist duties, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable support, and customer interaction. This role requires strong attention to detail, integrity in handling money, and the ability to shift priorities throughout the day. You will work in a visible, customer-centered location and collaborate closely with teammates to keep operations running smoothly. This is a role for someone who takes initiative, stays calm under pressure, and wants to grow as the business grows.

Reports to: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent, relevant work experience
• 2+ years of experience in an office, operations, accounting, or customer-facing role
• Experience with AR/AP, invoicing, billing, or handling money accurately

Preferred Qualifications

Working Conditions

• Full-time, MondayFriday, 7:00 AM4:00 PM
• Busiest hours are 7:009:00 AM
• Office connected to a warehouse in north Napa
• Desk located near the warehouse/customer entrance
• Standing and walking are part of the day
• Must be able to safely lift 25lbs
• Faster pace during summer; slower periods in winter
• Annual inventory preparation occurs in March
• Overtime is rare and must be pre-approved for a business reason

Essential Job Functions

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers and vendors
• Answer phones and greet walk-in customers professionally
• Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Handle financial transactions accurately and responsibly
• Maintain organized records and documentation
• Support daily office workflows and operational coordination
• Learn electrical distribution products, systems, and processes
• Assist at the sales counter during busy periods (limited but real)
• Communicate and collaborate with teammates to solve problems and improve processes

Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is $22 to $24 hourly.
