We are working with a booming AI startup backed by some of Silicon Valley's biggest investors. For context, just months after launch, they've achieved a +$1B valuation.

This is an exciting opportunity to be the second member of a legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel. You will act as a strategic partner to the sales, product, and engineering teams. This is a high-impact role where you will drive complex enterprise deals, lead IP strategy for machine learning teams, and help build the legal infrastructure for a company at the frontier of AI reliability.

Company is based in San Francisco and requires someone in the office 4 days a week. Must be barred in California.

Compensation ranges between $225k - $275k + equity

The ideal candidate is tech-forward, uses tools like Cursor, Replit, and Retool, and enjoys exploring the latest AI in their free time.

• 6+ years of tech trans experience, Big Law training plus in-house experience at a tech company is a plus
• Must be a master negotiator. Ability to handle handle complex MSAs, data licenses, and DPAs.
• Must have a deep interest in Gen AI and ML; you should be comfortable engaging with world-class engineers on data evaluation issues.
