GIFT SHOP CASHIER CLERK

Position Summary:
Responsible for managing transactions and maintaining a welcoming and professional environment in the resort's retail outlets providing a personalized shopping experience that upholds the resorts' luxury standards.

Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Perform all steps of guest service including greeting, assisting with sales, and check out.
4. Accurately handle all cash, credit card and comp transactions in company required POS system.
5. Maintain cleanliness of the gift shop including all merchandise.
6. Unpack, tag, and stock merchandise per department policies and protocols.
7. Monitor and report any potential safety issues or suspected theft of product to department leadership.

Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. One (1) year retail experience.
3. Must be at least 21 years of age.
4. Must have at least one (1) year of cash handling experience.

Physical Requirements:
This job has the following physical requirements:
1. Standing up to the full duration of shift
2. Walking up to the full duration of shift
3. Bending frequently up to 5% of shift
4. Twisting frequently up to 15-20% of shift
5. Climbing rarely up to 3% of shift
6. Kneeling rarely up to 2% of shift
7. Squatting rarely up to to5% of shift
8. Lift/Carry/Push/Pull up to 30 lbs. intermittently up 25% of shift
9. Reaching above the shoulders and other hand arm use intermittently up to 10% of shift

Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from non- sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
