Position Summary

The Busser at Maréla plays a vital role in delivering a seamless and refined guest experience. This position ensures that the dining room environment is impeccably maintained, supporting the service team through anticipation of guest needs, precision in execution, and a commitment to excellence.

This role requires grace under pressure, attention to detail, and a strong sense of team collaboration in a fast-paced, luxury dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

Service Support & Guest Experience

  • Maintain a constant awareness of the dining room, anticipating the needs of guests and service staff
  • Reset tables with precision, consistency, and attention to Maréla's elevated standards
  • Assist in delivering water service, bread service, and other table touches as directed by the service team
  • Ensure tables are clean, polished, and fully set prior to seating
  • Support seamless table turns while maintaining a calm and refined atmosphere
  • Respond promptly and graciously to guest requests when approached

Dining Room Excellence
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all dining areas, including floors, service stations, and pathways
  • Refill and restock service stations with glassware, flatware, linens, and other essentials
  • Polish glassware and silverware to presentation standards
  • Assist in maintaining the visual and operational flow of the dining room

Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service execution
  • Communicate clearly regarding table status, guest needs, and timing
  • Support pre-shift and post-shift setup and breakdown duties
  • Uphold a team-first mentality, stepping in where needed to support overall service

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred, ideally in upscale or fine dining
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within hospitality

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry trays, glassware racks, and up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-energy environment
