Overview Regional Memory Care Specialist - New DevelopmentThe ideal candidate will reside in Northern California. Senior Living experience required! This role will support our communities across the portfolio and requires frequent travel. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time within our portfolio. Travel assignments may be for extended periods and can change often, so flexibility and availability are essential.Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000Responsibilities Work with Communities' Traditions Directors and Executive Directors to maintain standards, policies, and procedures related to Memory Care.Support Memory Care and Health Services programs including regulatory compliance and adherence to Oakmont standards.Oversee resident care, activity programming, and staffing of Memory Care services across the community, including programs for early memory loss and middle to late-stage memory loss.Assist in recruiting and onboarding of new Directors, including supporting Traditions Directors in their community until fully functional.Assist in re-training and coaching of Traditions Directors as determined by the Regional Memory Care Director in collaboration with the Executive Director and regional/corporate teams.Conduct assigned Traditions Program Audits and follow up in a timely manner, in accordance with guidelines and standards.Ensure adherence to Oakmont Traditions policies and procedures across assigned communities.Participate in policy and procedure development as part of a collaborative team.Assist in new development openings as assigned (team hiring, training and development, program setup, VIP/Grand Opening participation, department setup, and related programming for new development).Contribute to the development of Oakmont Programming standards and policies and related projects for system development.Qualifications and Education Must be eighteen (18) years of age.Minimum 2 years as a Traditions Director or equivalent in a similar field.Prior experience must include at least 2 years working with persons with dementia and 1 year in a management/leadership role.High school diploma or equivalent. BA/BS in gerontology, psychology, social work, or related field, or 4 years experience in social services, residential care, psychiatric facility, or related setting.Ability to speak at public events.Must meet the CA DDS minimum qualifications of a dementia trainer.Must have or be willing to obtain RCFE Administrator Certification.Pass a DOJ Criminal Background Check.Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.Strong leadership and communication skills.Ability to adapt to change, criticism, and stressful situations in a positive manner.Motivated and able to work independently; capable of decision making, prioritization, and time management.Knowledge of budgeting, programming cost, labor, scheduling, and HR/hiring.Experience training, coaching, and mentoring; strong event organization skills.Ability to work collaboratively with all persons involved in each assignment.Well-versed in Oakmont Programs Standards, procedures, and policies.Energetic, flexible, positive demeanor and ability to manage diverse personalities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other online applications.COVID-19 vaccination or valid exemption required where legally permissible.Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision benefitsVacation, Personal Day, Sick Pay, HolidaysDiscounted MealsTeam Member Discount Program401(k) Savings Plan with Company MatchRecognition ProgramsCompany Paid Life InsuranceStudent Loan RefinancingPet InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramOakmont Management Group, based in Irvine, California, is a recognized leader in the senior living industry that manages a portfolio of communities under the Oakmont Senior Living and Ivy Living brands.
