Vice President

The Drug Abuse Alternatives Center (Center Point DAAC) is seeking a Vice President to lead the Agency in Santa Rosa and provide direct oversight of the agency's operations to include:

  • Drug Court Services.
  • Residential SUD services.
  • Outpatient Services.
  • Medication Assisted Treatment.
  • Perinatal Services.
  • Adolescent Services.
  • Transitional Housing Services.

Essential duties include:

  • Understanding the Drug Medi-Cal System.
  • Ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
  • Knowledge of CARF and the accreditation process.
  • Developing strategies and coordinating activities.
  • Reviewing activity reports and financial statements.
  • Administering industrial, labor, Human Resources, and public relations activities.
  • Supervising clinical policies and operations.
  • Coordinating staff training and reviews.
  • Serving as liaison to Board Committees.
  • Reviewing and approving invoices for payment.
  • Supervising evaluation, research, and grant writing activities.
  • Analyzing data and presenting recommendations.
  • Developing new funding resources and completing applications.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring treatment strategies.
  • Overseeing the delivery of client-centered interventions.
  • Monitoring and ensuring renewal of licenses and certification standards.

Budget and management responsibilities include:

  • Leading oversight for the development and supervision of annual agency and program budgets.
  • Maintaining a positive cash flow and balanced budget.
  • Overseeing capital improvement projects.
  • Overseeing monitored purchasing and expenditure.
  • Developing and maintaining adequate funding sources.
  • Working with the board in contract negotiation, purchase agreements, and leases.
  • Providing monthly financial reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Meeting regularly with Services Directors and the agency Controller.
  • Providing oversight on reports as required by funding sources and government agencies.
  • Communicating budget expectations and information to all levels of staff.
  • Working in conjunction with the board of directors on fundraising initiatives.
  • Participating with local, state, and federal substance abuse treatment stakeholders.
  • Proactively seeking funding opportunities in conjunction with the board.

Position qualifications include:

  • At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in non-profit senior management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with the criminal justice and health delivery systems.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising writing grants and proposals, actively soliciting funds, and collaborating in budget preparation.
  • Knowledge of addiction and state standards for Drug and Alcohol Treatment.
  • The state of California recognized Alcohol and Drug Certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • History of productive work relationships with employees, management, and outside agencies.
  • Demonstrated strength in leading and motivating people.
  • Demonstrated a history of effective problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical services.
