Our products help operators prevent critical issues, optimize system performance, and ensure reliable infrastructure management. We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer with experience in PLC programming and a strong background in electrical systems. This role is essential in designing, developing, and maintaining control systems that enhance automation and improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach and be comfortable working with cross functional teams in a dynamic environment. www.streametric.io YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop, program, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Remote Telemetry Units (RTUs). • Design and implement electrical control systems, including hardware schematics and panel layouts, to successfully integrate with STREAMETRIC software. • Configure and integrate STREAMETRIC with 3rd party SCADA applications such as VTSCADA, Wonderware, etc. • Collaborate with development engineers, support teams, and project managers to ensure successful proposal or bid creation. • Conduct system testing, validation, and debugging to ensure functionality and performance. (remote or on site) • Optimize and maintain existing control systems to improve reliability and efficiency. • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, control schematics, and operating procedures. • Ensure all systems comply with relevant safety and industry standards. • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and operators as needed. • Travel is expected to perform project startups, troubleshooting, or site visits. (30%) REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field. • At least 2 years of experience in controls engineering, particularly in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar systems). • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including circuits, wiring, and troubleshooting. • Experience with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems is a plus. • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP). • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
