Description:

AppleOne is assisting a creative team that is seeking a talented and driven Digital Designer to elevate their brand presence through outstanding design and motion. They are looking for a proactive problem-solver and natural collaborator who thrives in the dynamic, global environment of a fintech company.

You will function as a hands-on designer within the Brand Studio, translating briefs into highly crafted visuals for digital platforms, social media, web, presentations, and event experiences. You will collaborate closely with copywriters, motion designers, and producers to deliver on-brand, effective, and scalable work across different regions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Brand and Craft Excellence: Act as a champion for our brand, extending and maintaining its visual identity, design principles, and systems, including essential motion elements.
  • Asset Production: Prepare, optimize, and deliver production-ready assets across a wide range of outputs (social, web, in-app, DOOH, experiential, and broadcast).
  • System Alignment: Ensure cohesive experiences across 2D, 3D, motion, and product interfaces by adhering to established brand and design systems.
  • Project Ownership: Manage end-to-end projects, from interpreting initial briefs and developing concepts through to final polish and delivery across multiple channels.
  • Tool Proficiency: Maintain proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Illustrator at minimum); comfortable designing narratives and presentations in Google Slides/Keynote.
  • AI Integration: Thoughtfully utilize AI-enabled tools (e.g., Pencil Pro) for exploration and generating variants, ensuring the final, high-quality output is on-brand. Use AI to enhance craft, not replace it.
  • Technical Contribution: Contribute basic compositing, lighting, and rendering as necessary to guarantee high-quality, production-ready final outputs.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay current with emerging trends in design, animation, AI, and creative technology, proactively introducing new ideas and techniques to the team.

You will bring:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a visual designer, digital designer, or similar role in a creative agency, in-house studio, or product/marketing team. Experience with animation and motion design is highly desirable.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio or showreel showcasing high-quality design work across campaigns, product storytelling, social content, brand films, or motion graphics.
  • Design Fundamentals: A solid understanding of design fundamentals, including timing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
  • Craft & Detail: A strong eye for typography, layout, hierarchy, and composition, with meticulous attention to detail in spacing, grids, and systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud. Comfort working in Google Slides/Keynote.
  • Collaboration: Comfort working within established pipelines and collaborating closely with designers, modelers, developers, and other creatives.
  • Feedback & Iteration: The ability to openly receive feedback, iterate quickly, and collaborate constructively, even when differing opinions arise.
  • Mindset: A positive, curious mindset, keen attention to detail, and a genuine interest in contemporary motion design and animation trends.
  • Adaptability: A willingness to learn and experiment with emerging formats and technologies, such as real-time engines or interactive motion.
  • Global Teamwork: Comfort working within a global, distributed team, effectively balancing multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Communication: Clear communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and respond constructively to feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B or fintech, or with complex digital products, with a proven ability to make them feel simple and aspirational.
  • Familiarity with motion design or the ability to effectively collaborate with motion designers (e.g., storyboards, asset prep, simple animations).
  • Exposure to AI-powered creative tools (e.g., image generation, layout, or copy assistants) and an interest in leveraging them to increase quality and speed.
  • Experience working with or within in-house studios or brand/visual design teams alongside marketing functions.
