A company is looking for a Senior Optical Engineer to support exploration missions with optical engineering expertise for spaceflight instrumentation.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and review optical designs for laser altimeters and lidar systems, providing feedback on performance and manufacturabilityLead structural, thermal, and optical performance analyses and produce associated deliverablesCollaborate with subject matter experts and engage in project meetings to discuss methods, results, and team coordinationRequired QualificationsExperience in optical design of spaceflight instruments and lidar systemsExpertise in optical analysis, tolerancing, and STOP analysisKnowledge of optical materials selection for spaceflight environmentsProven ability to lead optical design and related technical activitiesMS degree in Optical Engineering or equivalent experience
