Join the team at the Napa Valley Wine Train, a historic experience and iconic excursion that has been a cornerstone of Napa's Wine Country for over 30 years.As Executive Chef, you'll be empowered to uphold and execute the timeless legacy of the Wine Train through providing an amazing culinary journey, through executive banquet culinary guidelines.A Day in the LifeThe Executive Chef, you are responsible for directing and overseeing the culinary/heart of-the-house operations for all of Napa Valley Wine Train experiences. Managing the culinary team, food purchasing, cost controls, and developmental training.Requirements* Culinary degree from a central accredited culinary institute or equivalent* 6-8 years of proven culinary experience in a banquet hotel, resort, and/or fine dining establishment* Minimum 4 years in a leadership role (Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef or similar)* Understanding of advanced culinary arts, restaurant management and public health relations* Basic computer skills and MS Office skills* Advanced experience with managing payroll, CA payroll law, budgets, food/menu cost controls* Exceptional leadership and team-building skills* Service-driven mindset with polished presentation abilities.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English* Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and backgrounds.* High energy, enterprising spirit, and a passion for excellence* Demonstrated ability to improve operational and financial performance.Salary: $125,000-$130,000Offer & BenefitsIn return, our full-time Executive Chef are rewarded with offering affordable health benefits, 10 days of accrued vacation annually, matching 401K, Holiday pay, associate birthday pay and the opportunity to work in paradise as a part of a great team in a place where you can be proud.
