Job Description

Join our team as a Welder to support fabrication operations at a client facility in Saint Helena, CA. This role focuses on welding carbon steel components using the Dual Shield (FCAW‑G) welding process, includingfull panel welds. You will be responsible for welding to blueprint specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards throughout your shift. This is a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks on carbon steel components using the Dual Shield (FCAW‑G) welding process.

• Conduct full panel welds according to blueprint specifications.

• Maintain safety, quality, and production standards throughout your shift.

• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.

• Perform welding tasks independently in a production environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication.

• Experience with carbon steel welding and full panel welding.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to weld quality.

• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding certification preferred (AWS D1.1 / 4G or similar).

• Experience with aluminum welding and stainless steel welding.

• 4G certification is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a fabrication/shop environment. The role requires prolonged periods of welding, standing, and the use of PPE. Candidates may be exposed to welding fumes, noise, heat, and industrial equipment. The job demands hands-on production work and adherence to all safety protocols while meeting quality and productivity expectations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
