Job Title: Quality Technician (Swing)
Job Duration: 22 months contract
Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95403
Pay Range: $30-$31.90/hour on w2
Location: Swing Shift position, 2pm - 10:30pm

Job Description:

The Quality Technician will supports manufactured and external sourced components that will later be assembled into test equipment. Specific duties include: mechanical measurement of precision milled, turned, chemical milled, wire EDM, gun drilled, plated, laser machined, and other specialty processes used in the production of high frequency electronic components. The candidate will be responsible for direct application of technical skills. Working within the designated area of expertise, the candidate will clarify, analyze, develop, and implement actions and solutions while supporting business directives adhering to the highest professional standards.

Skills:

  • Must have Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) background, with ability read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models.
  • Must have experience with mechanical metrology hand tool usage (calipers, micrometers, gages).
  • Strong PC (MS Windows/Office) skills are a must.
  • Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate mechanical competence.
  • Works with clearly defined objectives.
  • Solves technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Exhibits the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with wide range of people.
  • Adheres to the highest standards of business ethics.
  • Provides consistent, solid contribution to team delivery goals.

Preference given to candidates with:
  • Experience in ISO9001, AS9100 with recognized certifications ASQ-CMI-CQI Experience with ANSI Z540.3, ISO 17025 Hands on experience with operation of CMM, Optical Interferometry equipment, precision gages Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine and Optical Surface Profilers.
  • 3D modeling knowledge with NX, Solidworks, or other software.
  • Experience with SPC software and data analysis approaches.
Education:
  • Education Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent field experience 2-5 years in quality control within manufacturing environment.
