This position is limited to students who are currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. Second year students and students enrolled at a community college may intern at a two-year/community college. Third year students and higher can work at a four-year or community college. Non-InterVarsity students who attend a Christian college must have third or fourth year standing. This position is contingent upon successful completion of fundraising. Please note that the pay scale below reflects the equivalent of a full-time salary. This position will require 5-7 hours per week./ph3Growth Objectives/h3ulliDevelop in college campus ministry leadership/liliGrow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, ministry experience and skills, and mature as a disciple of Jesus Christ/liliDevelop daily spiritual disciplines/liliPursue spiritual relationships and involvement in a worshipping community/liliDiscern Gods call to ministry service with InterVarsity and its mission/li/ulh3Major Responsibilities/h3ulliParticipate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction/liliContribute to the accomplishment of the campus ministry teams plans for spiritual growth and transformation/liliTeach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives/liliPromote the Mission on campus (to advance witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse): ulliSeek opportunities to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ/liliLearn to guide chapters (or assigned segments of a chapter) in the development of strategic thinking regarding witness to the university/liliLearn to model and assist students and faculty in growing in their love for Gods people of every ethnicity and culture/li/ul/liliEncourage a prayerful lifestyle in students, especially focusing on those who do not yet follow Jesus as Lord and Savior/liliEngage positively with the supervision and training you receive from your staff ministry trainer and/or director/liliAssist with reporting as assigned/liliServe as an ambassador of InterVarsity to individual ministry partners and churches, through prayer, discussion of ministry efforts, mission, and accomplishments/liliOther duties as assigned by supervisor/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliA follower of Jesus Christ/liliAnnually affirm InterVarsitys Statement of Agreement/liliA developing passion for evangelism/liliDemonstrates campus ministry leadership qualities such as initiative, self-awareness and cultural awareness, communication, professionalism, eagerness to learn, cross-cultural competence, teamwork, and relational maturity./li/ulpPay Range: $31,320.00 - $41,772.00 per year/ppPay: This position is funded through personal fundraising. Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary. The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living.
