Our Dishwashing team plays a key role in supporting the success of our culinary and tasting room operations by ensuring all wares are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stocked. This role also assists the Culinary Team with basic prep tasks and helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work Schedule: Friday through Monday, 11 AM - 6:30 PM, seasonal position based on our harvest and visitor season, running now through September.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchenware including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Ensure clean items are correctly stored in designated locations, maintaining organization and accessibility.
- Restock dishware, utensils, and supplies at serving stations, prep areas, and refrigerators as needed.
- Assist with basic food prep or cleaning tasks as instructed by the Culinary Team.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in dishwashing and kitchen areas, following daily cleaning schedules.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with company policies and local/state regulations.
Other Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Gloria Ferrer Culture is consistently supported in all business and employee interactions, including ethical and legal aspects, compliant with state and federal law and GF policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous Dishwashing experience or kitchen experience preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have Food Handlers certification (or complete within 30 days).
- Strong communication skills; ability to follow directions and interact respectfully and clearly with team members.
- Must be a dependable team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to cleanliness and safety.
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and stand for extended periods.
- Visual acuity sufficient to safely operate kitchen equipment and recognize people or objects at a distance and up close.
- Frequent use of hands for washing, lifting, and handling kitchenware; repetitive motions required.
- Ability to bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and position items weighing up to 48 pounds.
- Frequent hand immersion in water during dishwashing tasks.
- Must be able to work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environment.
Compensation
- $20 per hour, plus gratuity.
