  • Schedule: Sunday thru Thursday, starting between 5PM-7PM

Position Purpose:

As a Shuttle Driver, you will be a key player in our operations, responsible for transporting empty trailers to our warehouse and delivering full trailers to designated locations. You will drive tandem and tractor trailers, strictly adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations to ensure safe and timely deliveries while fostering professional interactions with customers, vendors, and coworkers to contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct necessary safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspect vehicles for DOT compliance, ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Report any safety issues and required repairs.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines, reporting hazards immediately.
  • Inspect trailers to ensure freight is properly loaded and secured.
  • Ensure all required route paperwork is prepared and available for dispatch.
  • Drive and deliver trailers according to a set route schedule.
  • Safely perform hook/unhook procedures.
  • Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
  • Secure all equipment and freight at all times.
  • Collect secured damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers, completing necessary check-in paperwork.
  • Unload materials and dispose of trash from trailers as needed.
  • Maintain an accurate daily log of hours of service in accordance with DOT, state, and company regulations.
  • Carry out general housekeeping duties to keep the tractor, loading dock, and trailers clean and organized.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to support the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
  • 12 months of commercial driving experience.
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Possess a valid DOT Health Card or be able to obtain one.
  • Able to lift and move product cases/freight weighing from 10-90 pounds, using appropriate equipment.
