Overview:

As a Patient Services Representative working independently within ZOLL's Cardiac Management Solutions division, you will train patients on the proper use and care of the LifeVest®. This vest is a crucial safety device for those at risk of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), allowing them to continue their daily lives with confidence. This position is ideal for healthcare professionals with patient care and education experience looking for a flexible opportunity to earn supplementary income.

You will typically engage with patients in hospitals as they prepare for discharge. Responsibilities include setting up the LifeVest® equipment and providing comprehensive training to patients and their caregivers. You will also offer ongoing support to ensure that patients fully understand and are satisfied with the device. This role allows you to choose assignments that align with your availability, including options for shifts during the day, evenings, or weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate services by contacting caregivers and family members
  • Be available for assignments at various times, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends
  • Travel to provide services in patients' homes and healthcare facilities
  • Train patients and their caregivers on operating the LifeVest®
  • Program the LifeVest® according to the prescribing physician's instructions
  • Measure patients to determine the correct garment size
  • Complete and ensure patient signatures on all required paperwork
  • Transmit signed copies of the Patient Agreement and WEAR Checklist to ZOLL within 24 hours of service
  • Manage inventory of devices and garments
  • Disclose any family relationship with potential referral sources

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of documented patient care experience in a paid professional setting
  • Experience must be detailed in your resume
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • For candidates in Florida and Ohio, a level 2 background screening is required (fee not covered by ZOLL)
  • Willingness to disclose personal NPI number (if applicable)
  • A valid driver's license and car insurance, or a valid state ID
  • Agreement to pay a $30 annual DME fee, deducted from completed Work Orders
  • Willingness to cover costs for additional vendor credentialing (e.g., RepTrax) if needed for your geographic area
