Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer psychoeducational assessments for students referred for evaluation, adhering to California Department of Education and Federal standards.
  • Craft detailed and legally defensible assessment reports that include findings, diagnoses, and tailored recommendations.
  • Determine eligibility for special education services based on individual student needs across physical, mental, and emotional domains.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings while ensuring compliance with due process timelines.
  • Offer counseling services to students in need of support.
  • Provide consultation to administrators, parents, students, and school personnel regarding special education laws, mental health, child development, and effective intervention strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a California PPS Credential.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit strong speaking, writing, and listening abilities, with a collaborative and supportive approach to teamwork.
  • Undergo fingerprint background clearance.
  • Fulfill Tuberculosis (TB) clearance requirements.
