Description:
A Shift Supervisor is a key team member responsible for maintaining safety and overseeing all shift operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and vendor procedures. You will lead our food and beverage programs, ensuring that all team members receive proper training in procedures and food safety. As a Shift Supervisor, you will foster a respectful environment, provide coaching, celebrate achievements, and ensure effective task management during your shifts without direct store management present. Flexibility to work various shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) is crucial, along with assisting in training new employees.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Serve as the lead during shifts when store management is absent, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to company protocols.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, proactively assisting guests and addressing their needs.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety regulations and reporting any issues to management.
• Comply with laws and regulations related to the sale of restricted products, including alcohol and tobacco.
• Prepare food with a strong focus on safety standards, documenting necessary logs and certifications.
• Uphold cash handling procedures, accurately managing money transactions and documenting discrepancies.
• Keep store displays and product areas well-stocked and organized.
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experiences and drive sales.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store, including restrooms and equipment, while also managing external store environments.
• Embody Thorntons' Core Values, promoting a welcoming atmosphere for team members and guests.
• Adhere to attendance policies and company guidelines as established in the Team Member Handbook.
• Embrace company initiatives and maintain specified food service levels.

Qualifications:

• Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 55 lbs, and handle various physical tasks.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and cleaning materials.
