In this role, the Coordinator leads recruitment, admissions support, onboarding, and ongoing advising for intern candidates; monitors candidate progress toward credential completion; and maintains accurate records to support timely credential recommendation. The Coordinator collaborates closely with districts, site administrators, mentors, instructors, and Fieldwork Supervisors to ensure strong clinical practice experiences and consistent support for interns, including coordination of required performance assessments (e.g., CalTPA/edTPA, as applicable). Key responsibilities also include facilitating intern program faculty meetings; training and supporting Fieldwork Supervisors; coordinating professional learning for instructional staff; and monitoring completion and quality of coursework, fieldwork, and assessments.
The Coordinator additionally supports program quality and continuous improvement by overseeing key operational and instructional components of the intern programs, including curriculum scope and sequence, faculty hiring and coordination, and the development, review, and refinement of program curriculum across NCSOE teacher programs to ensure alignment with state standards, program goals, and equity-centered practices.
