Job Summary:

Responsible for managing the planning, build, construction, maintenance and repair of facilities equipment, building or machinery. Plans, budgets and schedules building or equipment modifications including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and directs facilities maintenance personnel (Custodial, Mechanics)
  • Coordinates and manages outside vendors (Lawn Care, HVAC, Water Treatment, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct electrical, mechanical and hydraulic problems on equipment, as needed.
  • Project Management on newly installed or refurbished equipment related to Facilities
  • Responsible for maintaining a preventive maintenance program on all equipment related to Facilities
  • Assigns and has subordinates document preventative maintenance on all equipment related to Facilities
  • Regular attendance is required to successfully perform the functions of this position.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or 4 Year Technical College Degree a plus
  • Minimum of eight (8) years related experience preferably in injection molding
  • Ability to 2D prints and hydraulic, mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Possess problem-solving techniques- Must be able to teach, train and mentor people
  • The ability to work independently and to be a self-starter is essential
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a plus
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective training and development.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Experience within the medical device industry.
  • Previous experience with lean manufacturing concepts.
ADA Requirements:
  • Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling and standing. : Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general labor, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
  • The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
  • The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, or gases.
  • 5%-10% travel.
