Warehouse Worker

PACE Supply, a leading employee-owned wholesale distributor of plumbing supplies, is excited to offer a rewarding career opportunity as a Warehouse Worker at our Santa Rosa location. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused team member to support our fast-paced warehouse operations. In this hands-on position, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory and exceptional service by:

1. Receiving and unloading incoming shipments (by hand or forklift)
2. Verifying products against packing lists and purchase orders for accuracy and condition
3. Inspecting items for damage and reporting discrepancies
4. Preparing and organizing products for storage, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
5. Using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems for efficient tracking
6. Assisting with order fulfillment, picking/packing, and general warehouse duties as needed
7. Collaborating daily with drivers, sales teams, customers, and suppliers

Schedule:

• MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM
• Flexibility for daily overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Order Processing: Receive, review, and prioritize incoming orders and work tags issued by the supervisor to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
• Inventory Retrieval: Locate and retrieve items from warehouse storage using manual methods, forklifts, or handheld scanners, while prioritizing efficiency and safety.
• Material Handling: Safely perform physical tasks, including lifting (up to 50), reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and moving materials to support daily operations.
• Production / Workstation Support: Pull and deliver materials to production workstations or staging areas to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize downtime.
• Receiving & Unloading Shipments: Unload incoming products from trucks by hand or forklift, handling materials carefully to prevent damage and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Quality Control & Inspection: Inspect received items against packing lists, purchase orders, and paperwork to verify quantity, condition, and accuracy; identify and report any discrepancies, damage, shortages, or incorrect items.
• Inventory Management & Accuracy: Track, update, and maintain inventory records using warehouse systems to ensure stock accuracy, availability, and proper organization.
• Shipment & Order Verification: Process and verify multiple shipments daily, resolving discrepancies, documenting transactions, and preparing items for storage, picking, or outbound shipping.

Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.

• Education and Experience: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and reading proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Customer Service: Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction in all interactions.
• Teamwork: Collaborative approach, building positive relationships with internal teams, customers, and external partners (e.g., manufacturers).
• Mathematical Skills: Basic proficiency in math, including counting and performing computations with up to four-digit numbers.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency, including keyboarding and data entry.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze situations, consider relevant factors, and recommend effective solutions.
• Policy Compliance: Commitment to following workplace rules, methods, policies, and procedures.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

• The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
