Position: Forklift Operator

Position Summary:

1. Efficiently move merchandise throughout the warehouse from receiving to customer delivery.
2. Accurately complete all necessary paperwork to support warehouse operations.
3. Label or tag orders as required to ensure proper identification.
4. Carefully transport products from staging/storage areas into loading trucks or trailers.
5. Execute slot moves for products as needed, maintaining all required documentation.
6. Adhere to all safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.

Tasks & Accountabilities:

1. Execute warehouse operational procedures, including sorting, loading/unloading, and documentation, while reporting any discrepancies.
2. Count products upon receipt, confirm against the manifest, and inspect for damage or quality issues.
3. Notify the appropriate manager of any shortages, overages, or damages.
4. Ensure that outgoing shipments match customer orders in quantity, quality, labeling, and address.
5. Safely and effectively operate machinery to assist in loading and unloading merchandise.
6. Participate in physical inventories as required to maintain accurate stock levels.
7. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
8. Help maintain warehouse security through active participation.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Experience in a service, production, or support role with significant responsibility in a warehouse setting.
2. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
3. At least one year of relevant experience.
4. Familiarity with technology and tools, particularly MS Office applications and basic hardware usage.
5. Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with team members and other business units.
6. Proactive and creative approach to tasks, demonstrating urgency and assertiveness.
7. Proficient in operating forklifts to move, locate, and count merchandise.
8. Accountable for safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may assist with Order Filler and Checker tasks.

Physical Demands:

1. Ongoing requirement to sit, talk, and listen throughout the day, with occasional climbing, crouching, or crawling.
2. Use hands for operating equipment and manually carrying or moving merchandise.
3. Drive or ride in a motor vehicle as required.
4. Ability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
