Join VMD Corp, part of Xcelerate Solutions and a leader in providing passenger and checked baggage screening services at various airports across the United States.

VMD is currently seeking applicants from existing personnel performing Transportation Security Officer services at Sonoma County Airport (STS).

What you will do:

Grow in a fulfilling career as a Transportation Security Officer at the Sonoma County Airport (STS) working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. You will use your outstanding customer service and critical-thinking skills while ensuring passenger safety by identifying and preventing unsafe objects from entering onto aircraft.

Responsibilities specific to this role include, but are not limited to:

• Passenger and Baggage Screening
• Operating various screening equipment.
• Communicating and interacting with travelers

What you will need:

• Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
• Be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
• Must possess customer service skills
• Pass a computerized assessment (grammar and ability to interpret X-rays)
• Pass a medical evaluation (vision, hearing, and joint mobility exam)
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Pass a TSA background and financial records check
• Ability to work any day, Monday - Sunday, and any shift between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM
• Minimum Clearance to Start: Public Trust

What we offer:

Competitive Compensation and on the Job Training

• Starting pay for this position will range from $23-$33/hour after successful training and certification. Pay levels for current officers are determined based on years of service and certifications.
• No prior experience is necessary.
• Receive on-the-job training and travel accommodations for a 2-week training session at an approved FLETC location to become a certified officer.

• Travel: None currently. 2-week training session in Georgia, Nevada, or other approved location may be required in the future.
