Job Purpose

  • Join our dynamic team as a Cargo Operations Specialist, where you will play a vital role in managing and executing cargo operations. Your focus will be on meeting commercial objectives while ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to ensure compliance with international regulations and effectively manage ground handling agreements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor service level agreements and ground contracts, partnering closely with customer service and compliance teams to ensure performance aligns with commercial goals.
  • Create and implement operational policies and key performance indicators that meet industry standards, effectively communicating them across teams.
  • Utilize market trends and customer feedback to timely identify new opportunities while addressing operational challenges.
  • Develop innovative strategies aimed at reducing operational costs and enhancing processing times while minimizing damage incidents.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all operational procedures and relevant regulations.
  • Cultivate a workplace culture that promotes safety, security, and workplace health standards.

Key Interfaces

Internal Interfaces

  • Report directly to the RCM, providing regular updates on operations and compliance status.
  • Collaborate with the Head of International Operations to strategize on budgeting and staffing.
  • Engage actively with Commercial and Sales teams to synchronize operational capabilities with their objectives and customer expectations.

External Interfaces

  • Cooperate with International Regulatory Authorities to ensure adherence to cargo handling standards.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with service providers and ground handling agents to sustain high service quality.

Educational Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in management, operations, economics, or a related field.

Experience Requirement

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations and customer service, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Preferred: 10 years of supervisory experience within the operations and customer service arenas.
