Your Day at Lowe's

In this role, you will maintain well-stocked shelves and organized backrooms by participating in the unloading of freight, moving products to the sales floor, and ensuring a tidy, safe workspace. Assisting customers in locating or loading products may also be part of your duties. Most shifts will be physically demanding, and scheduling may include varying hours based on store requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers, addressing inquiries, and offering project support.
  • Stock merchandise effectively through unloading freight, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
  • Support operational efficiencies by verifying deliveries, completing dock prep, and utilizing equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Promote a safe and clean workspace by following proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and equipment use.
  • Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other required tools.
  • Collaborate as a team member by completing other assigned tasks.

Additional responsibilities for Pro Fulfillment Stores include:

  • Utilizing the Orders App to pick and prepare Flatbed Delivery orders.
  • Loading delivery orders with a focus on quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
  • Managing orders by delivery date and troubleshooting customer order issues.
  • Proactively communicating with customers to enhance delivery satisfaction.
  • Implementing best practices for Delivery Readiness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 months of experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar machinery.
  • 6 months of experience in a warehouse setting performing inventory handling and stocking.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to varying environmental conditions is expected; you may work indoors and outdoors in different weather situations. This may include extreme heat, cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. You may also encounter constant or intermittent noise along with operational machinery.

Lifting requirements will vary based on specific duties, with guidelines limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts or powered equipment as necessary.

Pay Range: $17.50 - $18.90 per hour. Starting pay may vary based on several factors including position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
