Your base pay will be determined by your skills and experience, and you're also eligible for team-based bonus opportunities. Temporary associates may participate in the company's 401(k) program but are not eligible for other benefits.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate dementia care, assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming while encouraging independence.
  2. Participate in discussions about resident care with the community leadership team.
  3. Learn each resident's personal history, preferences, and interests.
  4. Serve meals in the dining room, assist with meal preparation, and encourage healthy eating habits.
  5. Lead daily engagement activities based on residents' interests, fostering socialization and friendships.
  6. Maintain accurate resident records and promptly report any changes to supervisors.
  7. Assist with medication management if permitted, adhering to all legal guidelines.
  8. Ensure a clean and safe living environment for residents through regular housekeeping duties.
  9. Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist residents with requests.
  10. Promote teamwork through positive interactions with co-workers.

Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with a high school diploma or GED and experience in providing direct service to older adults with dementia. Understanding of dementia, especially Alzheimer's, is essential.

Certifications and Requirements:

Must meet current state certification requirements as applicable.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent interaction with residents, co-workers, and visitors
  • Occasional evening or weekend shifts
  • Risk of exposure to communicable diseases and potential hazards
