Zumba Instructor (Weekends)

Sonoma County Family YMCA - Santa Rosa, CA
Part-Time | $20-$30/hour

Join the YMCA team and bring your energy to our weekend Zumba classes! We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivating, and community-oriented instructor who can create a fun and safe environment for participants of all fitness levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging, safe, and high-quality Zumba classes on weekends.
  • Start and end classes on time, prepared with music, choreography, and equipment.
  • Provide movement modifications, proper form cues, and safety guidance for all participants.
  • Create a welcoming and positive class atmosphere-greet members warmly and by name when possible.
  • Serve as a YMCA ambassador by promoting programs, events, and our mission.
  • Coordinate substitutes when needed and communicate timely with the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum age: 18.
  • Current Zumba Instructor Certification required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain-training provided).
  • Ability to lead high-energy dance fitness classes and demonstrate proper movement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance required, which includes sex offender screening
Work Environment
  • Requires ongoing movement, dancing, bending, and lifting up to 5 lbs.
  • Moderate noise studio environment.
