Role Overview

The Demand Planning Manager will lead demand forecasting efforts across assigned categories and channels, supporting both near-term execution and long-term strategic planning. This role plays a critical part in aligning commercial inputs with operational capabilities and acts as a key connector between Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a high-growth, evolving environment, brings strong analytical capabilities, and enjoys building scalable processes while managing day-to-day forecasting responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities


Demand Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical shipments, POS data, market trends, and sales inputs


  • Analyze consumption and sell-through data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities


  • Align forecasts with promotional plans, marketing activity, and growth initiatives


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment on demand assumptions


  • Communicate forecast changes, risks, and opportunities clearly to stakeholders


  • Build strong internal partnerships to support data-driven decision making


Sales & Operations Planning

  • Lead demand planning activities within the S&OP / IBP framework


  • Ensure demand plans support company objectives and operational feasibility


  • Drive alignment between tactical execution and longer-term strategic plans


New Product Planning

  • Support new product launches by incorporating assumptions into demand forecasts


  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure smooth market introductions


  • Monitor launch performance and adjust forecasts as needed


Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Leverage data, tools, and insights to improve forecast accuracy and planning processes


  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, visibility, and responsiveness


  • Support improvements in planning cadence, reporting, and metrics


Performance Management

  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory health


  • Own demand-related reporting and present insights to leadership


  • Balance inventory availability with working capital objectives


Leadership & Ownership

  • Take ownership of the demand planning function within assigned scope


  • Serve as a trusted partner across the organization


  • Help build scalable processes to support continued growth


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field


  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting, ideally within CPG or food & beverage


  • Strong analytical skills with experience using demand planning tools and POS data (e.g., SAP IBP, Anaplan, Nielsen, IRI, or similar)


  • Experience working within S&OP or IBP processes


  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, changing environments


  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners


  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven mindset
