Responsibilities of the Scientist/Sr. Scientist (Organ Perfusion):
Will lead the design and operation of systems that integrate perfusion, physiology, sensing, actuation, and closed-loop control.
Perform identification, characterization, and mitigation of long-horizon failure modes.
Apply your expertise in organ perfusion, preservation, and viability assessment.
Define measurements, interpret dynamics, and drive improvements in system-level function.
Will collaborate with scientists and engineers across the company on a variety of methods inspired by first principles of biology, physics, and chemistry.
Ability to comfortably execute familiar assay protocols as well as identifying and implementing unfamiliar protocols to diagnose damage.
Propose adjustments to cryopreservation protocol to optimize the health of organs.
Requirements of the Scientist/Sr. Scientist (Organ Perfusion):
MS or PhD with 2+ years relevant experience working with physiological systems.
Must have experience with perfusion, ECMO, organ support, or normothermic preservation.
Experience with real-time instrumentation and sensing in biological environments.
